One of the highlights of my year is to visit the Skagit Valley tulip festival in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Growing up, I always love to watch my parents plant flower seeds into a pot and anticipate them grow overtime. It was something both my parents love to do, and every morning they never failed to pamper their growing plants and flowers. We didn’t have a huge house and the community that we lived in doesn’t have enough space for each houses to have a backyard. My parents would line up their plants on our front porch to showcase their beauty and bring color into our home. A single flower can make my mom smile, and that’s why when I showed her some of the photos I have taken of this festival, she was almost in tears.
